Not what I did on my Holiday
Not what I did on my holidayI’ve been banned from showing photos/telling stories/going on and on about my trip to the US. So, um, let’s see now…How about this? We drove in a Mustang convertible from New Orleans, through Baton Rouge up Highway 61 to Mississippi, stopping in Natchez, Vicksburg, Rolling Fork (Muddy Waters’ birthplace) and Clarksdale (home of the Delta blues), before arriving in Memphis. This trip is called the Blues Highway, and it was the road taken by many of the great bluesmen who followed their fan base as they migrated north when the cotton picking in Mississippi was mechanised in the 40s and 50s. They sang about this area in songs that became blues standards. This part of the world has lived in my imagination for many years. It was both more and less than I imagined it to be, but now I know. I’m hugely grateful to have had the chance to move it from my imagination to my memory. So here’s the simple question: where in the world do you most want to go? What do you most want to see or experience? Finish this statement “I’ve always wanted to…”Now finish this statement: “I’m going to do this in [insert month] [insert year]”. And start working on it.Dr MikePS) Need some help generating enough profit and free time to achieve your dream experience? Book a Discovery call.
